Reviews

First thing you will notice about this phone is that it is incredibly thin.It is 8.49 mm in width. It is almost impossible to pick it up from the table. It is very light in weight. So overall it is unlike the bulky phones that Nokia used to produce at a time. Sure its still plastic that we are talking about here but
When you start using the phone you would be amazed at the 4.3" Amoled display which really takes away a lot of your attention. When you look at the screen you look at one piece of glass spanning the entire length of the phone. Its touchscreen is amazing and delivers on the promise that it had made and on what people expected.

The screen is capacitive and provides a better interface for the user. The right of the phone has the Lock button whereas the volume buttons are on the left. The back texture is amazing and the cover when taken out is so light its actually a lot scary. But when we fix it to the phone it sits tight. The Grip provided by the phone is very tight.

The phone has a nice 8.1 Megapixel with a single LED flash.

The videos are recorded at 1080p at 30 fps a rare combination for smartphones.

The battery is a 1650 mAh . It is really amazingly big for such a thin smartphone. It is easily capable of lasting an entire day when used moderately to a more heavy usage. It can go on until 2 days when put for Office Use (standby mode). I personally believe that the Gingerbread OS has a huge positive effect on the battery life of the phone too.

  • Hubs Samsung has 4 hubs to the Samsung Galaxy S II, for music, socialising, reading and games. Well its to aid you to not waste your time in the huge Android market. With a flood of Twitter apps f.e., its obvious that Samsung wanted to offer a complete package here and save time searching for apps
  • Split view in messaging Something thats rumored to be there in the Iphone 5 . Its a very minor change really but one that totally changes your UI
  • More multitouch and accelerometer features/gestures Not really something that helps a lot. But its nice when your super bored and instead of draawing away your doodle you just decide to rearrange your widget or chek out some pics . You can zoom in out of your phone by
  • Allshare Filesharing via DLNA. lovely! worked nicely with all sorts of pictures, videos etc!
  • Kies Air Kies (Samsung's version of HTC Sync or Ovi/Nokia/PC/Elop suite) can not only be connected via Bluetooth or cable, but also via WLAN. lovely part 2!
  • Photo- and Video EditorSamsung has really paid a lot of attention to post camera quality and interface. It has really improved the video editing software and provides a great UI

There is a problem with the phone in that about the slightly schizophrenic auto-brightness. The phone tries to auto adjust its brightness continuously even in same light conditions and it can be pretty annoying to a user.

Samsung has released a fix to solve this problem already, so forget about it.Just forget that u read the above para :P

Overall the Samsung Galaxy S || Seems to be a wonderful phone. True it might be a bit overpriced but its a new feeling altogether. I would say it is the best phone in the market today after the I-phones
